Like any number of hard working, professional women I'd started to let things slip a bit with food and exercise and (out of nowhere!) the kilos had crept back on in and 'all over' kind of way!
With a Yo-Yo weight mismanagement history I'd read the books, done the diets, got the t-shirts but this time I wanted a realistic approach that I could easily maintain. One that wouldn't require special foods and (expensive) personal trainers or gym memberships.
Enter my nutritionist from Real Nutrition
Together, we looked at my lifestyle in a holistic way and came up with a new plan that was going to work for ME, not the other 50,000 who bought the book or got delivered the pre-packaged meals.
It started with being conscious of how I was feeding my body and what activity I was doing. Like the food, the goals came in bite sized chunks and every two weeks I'd go along to see where I was at, talking through the issues/blocks/obstacles and, of course, celebrating as the unwanted weight safely drop off.
Five meals a day of food I liked, combined with regular walking and irregular Pilates, and the weight is gone, never to be seen again.
I think of my consultant very much as my Food Coach rather than a diet clinic consultant. She's right there with you ever step of the way in her direct and encouraging way. At the end of the day it's all up to you but it certainly makes it that much easier having someone there with you.
